Rail travel to Loncon 3
Travelling from London’s mainline train stations to ExCeL takes between 35 and 40 minutes, including St Pancras International which has international train services (Eurostar) to Paris and Brussels.
There’s more information here about train travel in the UK and beyond.
Similarly, more information about travelling across London, to help to plan your routes from each mainline station, can be found here – including links to journey planners. We will also provide some more specific information nearer to the convention about the most convenient routes and connections.
The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) offers a direct service to Stratford International station, which we hope will offer services to European cities through the Channel Tunnel by 2014.
Currently, Stratford international is used only for high-speed domestic services to Kent. This provides a convenient connection to Eurostar services; if you change at Ashford International or Ebbsfleet International stations, you can catch a high-speed service to Stratford and change there to the DLR to reach ExCeL and the nearby hotels.
Convention attendees who are travelling into London Euston may like to note the current Virgin Trains promotion which offers fixed-price family fares into and out of the station between 7 July and 31 August 2014.
