Entering the Art Show

The Art Show is sold out as of May 20, 2014. We have now frozen our final layout for the show, so unfortunately we are no longer able to consider applications or maintain a wait list.

Registration information has been left online here for information only. (For confirmed artists, note that this includes key information on check-in, check-out, and required paperwork).

Docent Tours

Loncon 3 will have docent tours. Docents are well-informed and engaging guides who are passionate about sharing their knowlege. (We borrow the term 'docent' from the world of museums, where volunteer docents show visitors around the galleries.)

Chesley Awards

The Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA) annually gives out the Chesley Awards. These Awards were established in 1985 as ASFA's peer awards to recognise individual works and achievements not otherwise acknowledged by the Hugo Awards. The Chesleys were initially called the ASFA Awards, but were later renamed to honour famed astronomical artist Chesley Bonestell after his death in 1986. The awards are usually presented at the World Science Fiction Convention.

We have provided an additional page with more information on the Chesley Awards including a video of the 2011 Chesley Award Ceremony which took place at Renovation, the 2011 Worldcon.
